Quasi-Stationary Simulator of non-Homogeneous Gaseous Pack Rising in Borehole During Gas Kick Killing

This quasi-stationary simulator models the upward movement of non-homogeneous gas-liquid packet and takes into consideration:
  • The presence of a gas formation with abnormally high pressure.
  • Properly models different propagation velocities for gas and liquid that causes the packet to appear.
  • Accounts for compression waves (but not not elastic waves).
  • Allows controlling borehole pressure by changing diameter of flow choke and changing pump output rate and mud density.
